Thoughts

Vowing never to read a manga before watching the anime (actually I’m just to lazy to read or buy it) or looking up history of an anime before watching it (basically taking the anime as is), the premise of World Destruction was interesting enough for me to keep watching. It also helped that the story was jam packed with action and quick to introduce with what looks like the 3 of the 6 main characters. Hopefully Production I.G. will be able to keep up the pace for 13 episodes.

Aside form that there were a couple of scenes that i got me laughing out loud to the point where my roommates think I’m crazy (not that they don’t already). I expect to see some fairly good comedy throughout the series now that I found out that Mamoru Miyano (Death the Kid – Soul Eater, Zero – Vampire Knight) who usually plays hard-ass rolls is playing the main protagonist Kyrie (whose roll seems to be very comedic).

Well, I also got to say, they cut a lot of corners with the animation of the first episode. There were some scenes that looked so poor that I didn’t even have to pause the video to spot them on the first run. Even though the scenes were horrible, the fights made up for it… Kinda. Regardless I’ll still be following World Destruction.
