Here I am again back home in America. Land of overweight, mean-looking, Latino-gangster-clothing-style, rude people. I am reconsidering my desire to live in Japan after all of what I went through over there, yet I am still not satisfied with living here in Seattle. With that said here are a few things I will miss about Japan.

Beer and Women with every meal

Yes, if you are over 20 in Japan and are eating a meal with your peers and especially if you are in the company of some fine Nippon-Jineze women, after that slab of raw cow tongue dipped in miso/wasabe, you down a mug of beer. And if someone pours you another mug, your obligated to drink it until they stop looking at you. That made for some interesting dining. And it seems like all the girls I ever dined with were trained in the arts of kyabakura and made great conversation partners… Even if it got a bit slurred towards the end. The best parts is that this was Just dinner which started usually at about 19:00 and was just a pre-funk kind of thing before the main event. But don’t get it wrong, it was nothing like a pre-funk, it was an actual dinner, almost like fine dining.

Designated directions on stairs
GOD. Fuck you Americans. Why the fuck do you walk in the middle of the stairs. Or why is it when you are in a hurry and going up an escalator, there are some fuck-bags standing next to each other talking about whose asshole hurts more from last night and blocking you from walking up the escalator. In Japan every escalator has a magic wizard of Oz voice telling you to move to the left if you are standing still and make way for people on the right. This not only applies to escalators, but people usually take the same rule to the stairs. No one walks on the wrong side. There is but one exception. Tokyo rush hour merits the entire use of a stair well to one direction. It’s like a fucking salmon ladder, and me the gaijin grizzly waiting to snatch up the hotties at the top of the fish ladder. Godamn, and as soon as I get back here in the states, right at the fucking airport, i was rushing to get up an escalator to get to the baggage claim so i can get the fuck home, as as I was about to step on the fucking magic stair some bitch and her cunt ass fat bitch friend cuts in front of me drop their baggage on the next step and take up the entire width of the escalator complaining about how hot it was. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU.

Fast food vending machines
Fast food in Japan is completely different. Just because it’s fast it doesn’t mean its unhealthy. For example: ramen is considered fast food. Especially when it is dispensed from a machine like above. No you fucking gaijin, the ramen doesn’t come out of the machine. They do away with menus and you place your order on the machine and you get a meal ticket, which you give to the expediter, who p laces the order to the chef. Then you sit down and wait a couple minutes for your fucking noodles, retard. The machine handles change and order changes too. So this saves the time of hiring an incompetent till who gives out incorrect change.

Alcohol and women at any establishment (except the library)
Yes. I admin I had a bit of help from my good friend Hiroki with the women, but everywhere we went, we had good company and mother fucking nomi-hodai. That means unrestricted(bottomless)-drinks you stinky ass gaijin. Go get some fucking deodorant. Not only at any establishment, but you could also drink in public. The park, the train, the bathroom, in a taxi. But in those places, you are going to have to provide your own drinks as there is no standard services in public areas. Zan-nen baka.

Everyone wears mother-fucking suits
If there was a classiest country in the world, it would be Japan. The majority of the population wheres suits throughout the whole day. Those who miss the last train even wear it the entire day and even sleep in it, right next to the subway entrance. Yeah, godamn Americans think it’s ok to wear sweats to work or mustard stained wife beaters. I tried to fit in by wearing a sports jacket and a button up express shirt, but my friend told me that if he coule, he would never wear a suit ever again ;__;.

Bidets

Cellphone number exchange
To be continued…

Looking back on why I wanted to go to Japan, I realize that I came for the wrong reasons. Japan is like every other westernized country: work, work, work, work, work, play, sleep...

Looking back on why I wanted to go to Japan, I realize that I came for the wrong reasons. Japan is like every other westernized country: work, work, work, work, work, play, sleep. It’s kind of weird, I feel the same as I did when I was in the states; work for the money to play and wake up to do it all over again. Except in Japan, I don’t have a job.

Now what did I come to Japan for? I can barely even reasons. They are kind of blurred, but if I were to gather my
And goddamn did I not find it. The real only differences are the pleasures and vices you can indulge yourself on, but ho-ly shit does Tokyo have some fucking fun things to do. Too bad I am staying an hour away in Yokosuka.

Maybe it’s just how the world works. You gotta give your soul to get what you want, be it something noble, selfish, or in my case: undefined.

A 10 hour flight supplemented by unlimited free gin, coke, Kirin beer, a Fate/Stay Night marathon with no subs, and crying babies. Awesome.

The flight experience was better than I expected. I purposefully kept myself awake so I would have an easier time adjusting for the jet lag. While awake I took note of my surroundings for a constant 10 hours.

Sitting back in the economy class with cramped leg space, and an arm rests 4 inches wide that I had to share with two other grown men. One a heavy snoring Japanese man heading to Singapore, the other a tall and lanky Singaporean staying in Japan. Like all asians in a public space, they did not talk at all.

The lavatories are smaller than they are on a domestic plane. Since I was drinking heavily throughout the duration of the flight, I made it a point to visit every one on the plane (though I was denied access to the premium cabin lavatories). While unloading what my liver would call a ‘double-shift’ I would often wonder why anyone would use these things for sexual encounters. They smell like poop, have no room to spread your legs, and have piss all over the floor and seat. Mile high club? I’d still do it for some reason unknown to my logic circuits.

Upon arrival, exiting the plane was faster than expected, save for the semi-old lady who couldn’t seems to make her shitty roller luggage orient the correct way. Maybe she forgot there was a line of 60 anxious passengers behind her, with me in front. Sometimes you just get the urge to push people. Upon exiting, passengers are standardly waved off by all the stewardesses, wow that is a word. I finally got a closer look and noticed most of them were 40-60 of age, Japanese, and quite good looking for the color of their hair and the amount of make up they wore. But as I got to customs and saw a couple lines of Japanese stewardesses from other companies, the standard was raised 2 fold.

Anyways, flight experience, 4 out of 5 stars, purely for the free alcoholic beverages.

PS. when the fuck are they going to pu 110v plugs on planes? I wanan fucking use my godamn laptop on a 10 hour flight. fuck.

Jailbreaking / Untethering your iTouch offers a wide variety of freedoms with your iTouch. But screw that crap, you are probably here because you want free apps.

Regardless of what you want, here is a complete guide showing you how to do so starting from the initial jailbreaking to downloading the apps.

Note that doing this voids your warranty. Also note that Apple’s EULA prevents them from checking your iTouch, so there is no way they can know you are doing this.

Orewabanchou Jailbreaking FAQ:

How will my iTouch function differently when I jailbreak my it?

Nothing will be different other than you will ha elevated privileges, meaning you can install 3rd party applications not supported by the Apple app store.

Will I still be able to use the app store?

Yes, the app store still functions normally, you will still be bale to buy and download apps from there.

Where do I go to download and try applications for free?

my favorite place to go is Appulous, but a number of sites exist that provide applications for iTouches

Can i un-jailbreak my phone?

Yes, you will need an original firmware file of your iTouch.

I tried downloading apps and installed them correctly but they aren’t showing up on my iTouch homepage / iTunes is telling me I don’t have the correct privileges to install the app on my iTouch

You need to install MobileInstaller, details for this are outlined in the 2nd part of this tutorial

Something went wrong, what do I do?

Refer to this guide to solve your problems.

The rest of the tutorial:

On to the tutorial (important steps are bolded).

Installing apps on your iTouch 2G

Using Installous / Appulous to install apps directly onto our iTouch from your iTouch

Downloading apps from online on your computer and using iTunes to install them on your iTouch

Downloading apps from online on your computer and using iTunes to install them on your iTouch

First download the app and open it with iTunes.

The app will appear in the ‘Applications’ section of iTunes.

Plug your iTouch into your computer and hit the ‘Sync’ button on the Summary page of your iTouch in iTunes.

You need to install MobileInstaller, details for this are outlined in the <a 2nd part of this tutorial

3/3 Installing apps on your iTouch 2g

On to the tutorial (important steps are bolded).

Using Cydia to install MobileInstaller and Installous on your iTouch 2g

After jailbreaking your iPhone with QuickFreedom you should have two new default applications on your iTouch home: Cydia and Installer.

From Wikipedia:
“Cydia [sih-DEE-uh] is a package installer/manager for the iPhone and iPod Touch, created and maintained by Jay Freeman (saurik), which allows users to browse and download applications from a range of sources. Most applications are available to download for free, with some requiring purchase after downloading, and as of the 1.0.2790-44 release, applications are available to purchase from within the application. The applications are downloaded directly to iPhone or iPod Touch and are located in the /Applications/ directory , in the same place where “Apple native” applications are located. App Store applications are located in /var/mobile/Applications/”

The first thing you want to do is add two certain package sources to Cydia

To do this, open Cydia and touch ‘Mange’ at the bottom. Then Click ‘Sources’.

From the sources menu touch ‘Edit’ at the top-right and then ‘Add’ to the top-left then add the following addresses individually:
http://cydia.hackulo.us/

http://iphone.org/hk/apt/

Then tap ‘Home’ on the bottom and reload Cydia if it hasn’t already.

Next you will want to install the latest version of ‘MobileInstaller’. Mobile Installer allows installation of home-made homebrew IPAs.

To do this, click search on the bottom of Cydia and in the search bar type ‘mobileinstaller’ and install either one of these by tapping them and clicking install on the top right.

A log will appear showing the installation progress. once it is done installing it will instruct you to restart your iTouch. Do so.

You now have the ability to install .IPA (iPhone) files on your iTouch.

Next you will want to install an app browser. I use Appulous.

Appulous is browsable on your iTouch via Installous. Both are from the website Hackulous.

Touch ‘search’ on Cydia and type in ‘Installous’ to find this package and install it:

Installous allows you to browse, download, and install apps from Appulous.

1/3 Jailbreaking

from Wikipedia:
"A jailbreak is the act of bypassing software restrictions in certain computer operating systems, more specifically in Unix-like operating systems. It is used to increase user freedom. In the context of the iPhone, it allows the user to run unofficial code, bypassing Apple's official distribution mechanism (which distributes approved applications through the App Store).

The iPhone and iPod Touch have repeatedly been subject to jailbreaks, allowing the use of unofficial code, but have frequently had those jailbreaks disabled by updates to the iPhone OS.

Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many applications previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia. Through these applications, one can download software to change numerous aspects of the iPhone or iPod Touch, such as changing the theme, installing a new font, etc. Jailbreaking iPhones also allows for the free installation of official Applications via .torrent, including paid apps.

Jailbreaking is distinct from unlocking, which is the process by which a mobile device is made compatible with telephone networks it was not specifically licensed to be used with."

On to the tutorial (important steps are bolded).

1/3 Jailbreaking your iTouch2g

from Wikipedia:
“A jailbreak is the act of bypassing software restrictions in certain computer operating systems, more specifically in Unix-like operating systems. It is used to increase user freedom. In the context of the iPhone, it allows the user to run unofficial code, bypassing Apple’s official distribution mechanism (which distributes approved applications through the App Store).

Jailbreaking is distinct from unlocking, which is the process by which a mobile device is made compatible with telephone networks it was not specifically licensed to be used with.”

So far as of today (4/28/09), the easiest application to use for jail breaking is QuickFreedom.

Install this and run it. The app should open up:

Click ‘Jailbreak iPod’ and you will see this screen, Step 1 – Requirements:

Unless you have already installed LIBUSB click ‘Install LIBUSB’ and it will download and install LIBUSB for you. LIBUSB is a library for use by user level applications to access USB devices regardless of OS.

During the installation your USB services will reset and some of your devices will go crazy for a second, but don’t panic, they will come back soon once the installation is complete. You may be asked to restart you computer, make sure you do so if it does.

Once LIBUSB is installed, QuickFreedom should recognize it and the X next to LIBUSB in QuickFreedom should turn into a green checkmark and read ‘LIBUSB – Installed’

The next step is to upload the original iTouch 2.2.1 firmware>. If you do not have it, click the download button in Quickfreedom.

It will open up a download of the original iTouch 2.2.1 firmware in your default browser.

Save it somewhere. Once it is done downloading, click ‘Browse’ in QuickFreedom and navigate to where you saved the original iTouch 2.2.1 firmware you downloaded and open it up.

QuickFreedom will start copying the original firmware to itself:

Once these steps are done, you should have two green check marks on the ‘Step 1 – Requirements’ page of QuickFreedom. Once you do, you can click ‘Next’

You will be taken to the next screen: Step 2 – Create Firmware:

From here you can change your boot logo by clicking the ‘Use Custom Logo’ check box or the ‘Change’ button. Either will bring up the custom logos window where you can change your DFU (recovery mode) logo and your boot logo. To do so, click the logo you want changed to under the appropriate tab and hit the OK button. You can also use custom logos (they must be in .PNG format and 320x480px) by clicking the ‘Use Custom’ button under the appropriate tab and uploading the desired .PNG file then hit OK.

Custom iTouch custom Mio bootscreen wallpaper

Back to the Create Custom Firmware Screen.

Make sure that the ‘Install Installer’ checkbox is checked (and ‘Use Custom Logos’ if you changed it) then hit ‘Create Custom Firmware’ and QuickFreedom should start creating the custom firmware for your iTouch that you will be uploading to it later.

Within seconds it should get to ‘Starting Firmware Creation’ this part should take only a few seconds and move onto ‘Now creating, please wait…’ which should take less than 5 minutes.

Sometimes during the creation of the custom firmware, the process freezes and you have to cancel the process and click ‘Create Custom Firmware’ again to start it over.

Once the process is finished it will say something like ‘Successfully created firmware! Location: C:\Documents and Settings\tanj\Desktop\Custom Firmware.ipsw’. Once it does, click next to go to the next page: Step 3 – Pre-Jailbreak.

Plug your iTouch into your computer

During this step you must put your iTouch into DFU mode (restore mode).

To do so, power off your iTouch by holding the top button down till a slider appears that says ‘Slide to power off’, do so. Then hold both the top button and your front panel button down simultaneously for 10seconds, then let go of the top button while still holding down the front panel button down for another 10 seconds. This should put your iTouch into DFU mode and it will disappear from your iTunes momentarily and reappears as an iTouch in recovery mode.

Here is a video tutorial of how to put your iTouch into DFU mode:

Also once in DFU mode, QuickFreedom will also detect this and at the bottom of the QuickFreedom window on the status bar it will say ‘iPod connected in DFU mode’.

Once this is done click ‘Start Pre-Jailbreak’

And your QuickFreedom will start the pre-jailbreaking process on your iTouch. There is no turning back now.

Click Next once the pre-jailbreaking process is completed.

I will just repeat what it says on step 4:

Your iTouch’s screen should be white now. Open iTunes and click your iTouch.

In the general tab hold shift and click the ‘Restore’ button.

Find your custom firmware (it should be on your desktop) and hit OK.

Once completed your iTouch is now Jail Broken.

If there is one question I really fucking hate, it has to be one that contains, “Did you get my email?” or any variations of that.

It’s just a question you say? FUCK YOU check your fucking sent box instead of asking me you lazy cunt. I don’t have email so that I can tell you if you sent something. I don’t think I have ever wanted to punch someone in the face so bad as I do right now.

Really there is no excuse. Long gone are the days of unreliable email clients and servers. If your mail didn’t go through, you will get an email back containing an error from the email server. So fuck, instead of asking me whether I got your email that you may or may not have sent, why don’t you stop wasting my time and stop being lazy and check your fucking sent mail box, you asshole.

Speaking of being lazy, people ask fucking retarded ass questions these days. Even worse they expect them to be answered by people who don’t give a fuck about the answer let alone the person asking. We are in the age of Google and Wikipedia. The internet has all the information you need from correct ways to how open a hard to open soda bottle to statistics of rape of the elderly.

Let me give you fuckers a tip, if you have a question, don’t fucking ask someone else and waste their time. Go to Google and type it in. Be self sufficient for once in your pathetic life. If that’s to hard for you, then let me just Google it for you.

AHHHHHG.

BBQ Chicken (or for you racists who can’t read Korean) is a growing franchise straight from Korea (South Korea for those of you who insist on separating yourselves /s) that has landed its tentacles in North Western US. They pride themselves on serving chicken fried in high-class olive oil (yeah right) and a variety of Korean dishes you might be familiar with (yeah right you racist). I high stress that it is a franchise because the owners are only required to serve the main fried chicken entrees and decorate the store with advertisements obviously made by native Koreans but aimed at fat ass white Americans who apparently only eat at places labeled a Family Restaurant.

Since I’m going particularly nowhere with this let me just say that BBQ Chicken located in the University District of Seattle is not a family restaurant (even though every fucking sign inside says it is). Their soda fridges (which btw are on the pathway to the exit/entrance, not good if you are on the Ave) are lined with imported beer, After 9:00pm they dim the lights (I’m sure it’s because that’s when all the Koreans roll around and they know most Korean girls are ugly or nocturnal blood suckers), and they showcase all their cocktail glasses right behind the cash register, speaking of which let me show you their biggest one with one of my friends:

So don’t bring your kids here for dinner. But do bring your hot Korean girl friends, and please tell me prior before coming.

Anyways, back to the topic. Actually it’s just a couple pictures I have to show of what I saw outside while having a smoke break:

HAHA, yes the management and staff at UW BBQ Chicken are internet pros.

That is all.
