A 10 hour flight supplemented by unlimited free gin, coke, Kirin beer, a Fate/Stay Night marathon with no subs, and crying babies. Awesome.

The flight experience was better than I expected. I purposefully kept myself awake so I would have an easier time adjusting for the jet lag. While awake I took note of my surroundings for a constant 10 hours.

Sitting back in the economy class with cramped leg space, and an arm rests 4 inches wide that I had to share with two other grown men. One a heavy snoring Japanese man heading to Singapore, the other a tall and lanky Singaporean staying in Japan. Like all asians in a public space, they did not talk at all.

The lavatories are smaller than they are on a domestic plane. Since I was drinking heavily throughout the duration of the flight, I made it a point to visit every one on the plane (though I was denied access to the premium cabin lavatories). While unloading what my liver would call a ‘double-shift’ I would often wonder why anyone would use these things for sexual encounters. They smell like poop, have no room to spread your legs, and have piss all over the floor and seat. Mile high club? I’d still do it for some reason unknown to my logic circuits.

Upon arrival, exiting the plane was faster than expected, save for the semi-old lady who couldn’t seems to make her shitty roller luggage orient the correct way. Maybe she forgot there was a line of 60 anxious passengers behind her, with me in front. Sometimes you just get the urge to push people. Upon exiting, passengers are standardly waved off by all the stewardesses, wow that is a word. I finally got a closer look and noticed most of them were 40-60 of age, Japanese, and quite good looking for the color of their hair and the amount of make up they wore. But as I got to customs and saw a couple lines of Japanese stewardesses from other companies, the standard was raised 2 fold.

Anyways, flight experience, 4 out of 5 stars, purely for the free alcoholic beverages.

PS. when the fuck are they going to pu 110v plugs on planes? I wanan fucking use my godamn laptop on a 10 hour flight. fuck.

If there is one question I really fucking hate, it has to be one that contains, “Did you get my email?” or any variations of that.

It’s just a question you say? FUCK YOU check your fucking sent box instead of asking me you lazy cunt. I don’t have email so that I can tell you if you sent something. I don’t think I have ever wanted to punch someone in the face so bad as I do right now.

Really there is no excuse. Long gone are the days of unreliable email clients and servers. If your mail didn’t go through, you will get an email back containing an error from the email server. So fuck, instead of asking me whether I got your email that you may or may not have sent, why don’t you stop wasting my time and stop being lazy and check your fucking sent mail box, you asshole.

Speaking of being lazy, people ask fucking retarded ass questions these days. Even worse they expect them to be answered by people who don’t give a fuck about the answer let alone the person asking. We are in the age of Google and Wikipedia. The internet has all the information you need from correct ways to how open a hard to open soda bottle to statistics of rape of the elderly.

Let me give you fuckers a tip, if you have a question, don’t fucking ask someone else and waste their time. Go to Google and type it in. Be self sufficient for once in your pathetic life. If that’s to hard for you, then let me just Google it for you.

BBQ Chicken (or for you racists who can’t read Korean) is a growing franchise straight from Korea (South Korea for those of you who insist on separating yourselves /s) that has landed its tentacles in North Western US. They pride themselves on serving chicken fried in high-class olive oil (yeah right) and a variety of Korean dishes you might be familiar with (yeah right you racist). I high stress that it is a franchise because the owners are only required to serve the main fried chicken entrees and decorate the store with advertisements obviously made by native Koreans but aimed at fat ass white Americans who apparently only eat at places labeled a Family Restaurant.

Since I’m going particularly nowhere with this let me just say that BBQ Chicken located in the University District of Seattle is not a family restaurant (even though every fucking sign inside says it is). Their soda fridges (which btw are on the pathway to the exit/entrance, not good if you are on the Ave) are lined with imported beer, After 9:00pm they dim the lights (I’m sure it’s because that’s when all the Koreans roll around and they know most Korean girls are ugly or nocturnal blood suckers), and they showcase all their cocktail glasses right behind the cash register, speaking of which let me show you their biggest one with one of my friends:

So don’t bring your kids here for dinner. But do bring your hot Korean girl friends, and please tell me prior before coming.

Anyways, back to the topic. Actually it’s just a couple pictures I have to show of what I saw outside while having a smoke break:

HAHA, yes the management and staff at UW BBQ Chicken are internet pros.

That is all.

Every day I almost hit a pedetrian and it’s never my fault. I swear if I try to go one way the pedestrian walking makes an effort to jump in my way.

To sum up how bikers think let me quote a website:

‘It’s really annoying having to brake. You lose all your momentum and you have to push off from a standing start, which is where most of the effort in cycling goes. This comes under the heading of a Really Bad Reason to go through red lights, but it is the real reason why many cyclists do it.’ – Dominic Sayers

Pretty much saying bikers will try not to slow down. This plus the fact that pedestrians have the right of way will generally dictate that bikers will maintain same speed while avoiding pedestrians with quick turns or pre-planned paths.

Here are some examples of pedestrian encounters I come across at least once a day:

(click picture to view larger version)

(click picture to view larger version)

So you know what, fuck pedestrians. Take off your godamn mp3 headphones so you can hear me screaming at you when you don’t look both ways on the road. Here is some advice, if you see a bike, just walk like you were walking without seeing the bicycle because the bike has already thought out a path that avoids you.

Looking back, I made a mistake purchasing this VAIO. The max resolution on the 15.4″ widescreen with XBRITE HiColor technology is a measly 1280x800px. And due to such a low max resolution my desktop often gets cluttered not only by icons, but by windows. I cant browse the web while watching a video without pausing the video and switching over the the web browser.

As a result of the short commings of my low resolution, I searched for a couple apps to make my desktop space a bit ‘bigger’. Here is what i found.

Start Killer
“Start Killer removes the Start button from your taskbar.”

Plain and simple. Why might you ask? Rarely do I use more than a few select programs. When I use these programs I need quick access to them, I want them on the fly in one click. This can be achieved by creating a shortcut on the quick launch of the task bar. Now, when too many icons are too present on the taskbar, it competes with space with other applications open on the taskbar. This means space must be maximized on the task bar. I find that the start button makes a perfect candiate for space maxmization because it takes too many clicks to get to what I want and has too much of what I dont want. So, I removed it with this simple application. Available free in the link above.

Start Killer and my taskbar

Samurize
“Samurize is an advanced system monitoring and desktop enhancement engine for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista. IT professionals, overclockers, gamers and desktop modders alike use Samurize for system information, weather reports, news headlines and much much more.”

I guess I just wanted something similar to Vista’s desktop without Vista. In fact, Samurize is much more powerful that the Vista desktop.

My Samurize setup with the Weather 2004 plug-in

DeskSpace
“Expand your desktop.”

I remember my roommate last year showing me Ubuntu the first time. One of the cooler features was the multiple desktop with a 3d switching interface. I wish i knew it was also available for PC’s earlier.

DeskSpace allows you to run multiple instances of your desktop with a visual switch interface. Ill let the screen shots do the explaining.

And there you have it, just a couple apps to streamline my small desktop.

Yes, he did. Just look at how the undecideds swung and fox news web poll. If you’d like to think otherwise, you’re probably clinging to the GOP like a beaten wife clings to her abusive husband for familiarity.

Seriously get a grip on reality. McCain/Palin Camp is a stinking heap of poverty, war, and death. Switch poverty with famine and add pestilence you’ll get the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Shit, some might even call the way they run their campaign a disease in American politics.

Read the transcripts here

Let’s review:

Palin about Barack Obama: “94 times he voted to increase taxes or not support a tax reduction.”

Hm, true, but Govenor Palin, you forgot to mention that it was for familes making over $250,000 and individuals making over $200,000. You also forgot to mention that Obama has constantly voted to cut taxes for the middle class. Wait did you even mention middle class once Govenor Palin?

Source

Governor Palin mention that troop levels in Iraq have dropped since the 2007 surge.

Blatant Lie.

2007 troop level – 158,000

2008 troop level – 170,000

Source 1 Source 2

Palin, “Governor Obama’s plan to mandate health care coverage and have universal government run program” for health care, and added: “I don’t think it’s going to be real pleasing for Americans to consider health care being taken over by the Feds.”

Wow, did she just lie through her teeth again? Her platinum-core, gold-plated, diamond-studded, painted with what seems to be real tooth color paint made from dead Iraqi babies’ blood? Obama’s plan. doesn’t turn the system over to the government. He just proposed to subsidize health care for families who cannot afford it where then they could pick a private insurer as an option or the government’s health care as an option.

Source

Palin mentioned that Obama plans to raise taxes for familes making under $42,000.

??? I thought he wanted to cut taxes for them… And raise money for the rich?

Source

Well. There you go. I guess I should rename this post to ‘Palin demolishes herself in Vice-Presidential Debates.

In all my life I’ve always been told that giving cash for a present is inappropriate and tactless. I disagree. Given you lack the creativity and/or knowledge of a person but wish to give them a monetary congratulations I myself find it one of those most versatile and appropriate gifts of all.

But let’s just run with a cash gift is inappropriate. Breaking it down, if you give someone cash, you give them a trade good. A gift card is a trade good, but it differs in that you may only use it at a certain place. Now if cash is a crappy gift, then this difference makes gift cards the crappiest gift ever.

It’s like telling someone, ‘Hey, I couldn’t find an appropriate gift, so instead of giving you something you cash which you can enjoy everywhere, here is a card which you can only use at this store I happen to be shopping at when I thought of you.’

more like, ‘Hey, screw you, jack ass.’

If you give someone a gift card instead of cash, you probably don’t know much about them anyways. So what makes you think you know what stores they shop at? Do you really think that someone wants to pay with a gift card at the Hard Cock Cafe anyways?

Did you see what I did there?

Not only that, but there is always an integer amount on the card. When everything in America is trailing by ‘.99′ when is anything ever going to come out to be an integer? You then end up with a gift card with some useless amount under a dollar where then the cashier asks you if you want to add more to the card or buy something else to use it up. No just keep it bitch. That plastic hurts the lump on my ass.

Seriously, gift cards are for douche-bags.

With 3 paychecks coming this week and school ending, My Xbox 360 game collection is waiting for expansion. And what great timing too, since awesome looking games are coming out between now and September (not to mention most of them are RPGs). Let’s take a look at some prospects.

Tales of Vesperia

The latest installment in the Tales series. The story is what you would expect from a typical Tales RPG (or any hero tale), that is: Oppression + Hero = Plot. The battle system is almost the same as Tales of the Abyss + Symphonia, the latter of which contributing the notable Overlimit system. Tales of Vesperia will also have secret missions and tons of unlockable stuff, hopefuly make for great replay value. Tales of Vesperia will be released for Xbox 360 exclusively, has been released in Japan on August 7th and released in North America on August 26th. Famitsu has already given Vesperia a 35/40 rating..

Although I haven’t been a big RPG fan in my college career (mostly due to time restrictions) Tales of Vesperia seems like a worth-while game to rent or even buy. Hopefuly they come out with a demo on XBL so i can test it out before hand. Judging from the video below, the battle system looks strikingly similar to Grandia II. Vesperia doesn’t have me super excited, but it looks worth it to check it out.

Infinite Undiscovery
Apparently this game has been undergoing 10 years of development by game company tri-Ace. The 10 years finaly being put into motion with the help of the Xbox 360 hardware. The whole ‘wow’ of the game is creating a world that will be influenced and changed according to how the player makes in-game-decisions, battles, and what the player discovers. The game will play though accelerated game time, where 10 minutes will be about 12 hours in a 24-hour game day. One feature this presents is the advantages of doing things in the cover of night or vice-versa in the light of day.

After reading a couple articles about this game, It got me really excited. Longing for a worth-while RPG for the Xbox360, nothing really made me look twice until I came across Infinite Undiscovery. Emphasized is the way that you can battle. There will be numerous ways to defeat your enemies. But the real selling point of ID is that every thing you do could affect the game world. Now the extent of how this works has not yet been fully displayed (or I haven’t seen any examples yet), but if ID gives what it promises, It will be a revolutionary RPG. Due out on September 2nd exclusively for the 360, I will definitely be getting this game.

Rock Band 2

Rock band 2 features the same game play of Rock Band, but adds several new features which improve on the game. Some of these features include Drum Trainer, Battle of the Bands, Online Tour Mode, and 84 new songs.

The coolest thing about Rock Band 2 is that all songs downloaded for Rock Band will be compatible with Rock Band 2! AWSOME. Not only that, Rock Band 2 downloaded songs will be compatible with Rock Band! AWSOMEx2. Guitar hero sucks simply because Rock Band has much better features. I will most likely be purchasing Rock Band 2 with a guitar.

(dunno if a video of Rock Band 2 gameply matters much, but here it is)

Fable 2
The long awaited sequel to the original developed by Lionhead Studeos (Black and White series, The Movies) promises content 10 times the size of the original. NPC interaction has been greatly improved and many more game changing decisions left up to the player.

WAHHH FABLE 2. I loved the original Fable, but it was much too short. Character creation was the best part of that game, and further customization of that character further in the game. The quests were enormously fun and story was great to follow. If Fable 2 delivers, I will have to augment my schedule around playing Fable 2.
